I'm a true content connoisseur and downright marketing-obsessed. As a constant learner and self-professed word nerd, I’m lucky to be as passionate as I am about my marketing career. (Which is good, really, because I can’t imagine doing anything else.)
A graduate of the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications, I started my career working in media and publishing, where I developed my appreciation and love for working with organizations on their broader mission to attract, entertain and educate their audiences. And as a managing editor for numerous publications, I developed a fine-tuned approach to copyediting and proofreading, which has served me well. I can talk about grammar all day, spot an error from a mile away and I have strong opinions about the Oxford comma (just ask).
From media and publishing, I followed my passion and went into marketing and content strategy, collaborating with global organizations to carry out their marketing missions. And in following my gut, I realized this is where I was meant to be.
For me, a career in marketing is truly rewarding, and I’m constantly learning. And not because I have to, because I want to — need to, really. Fascinated with the latest trends and news in the marketing world, I’m obsessed with soaking in as much as I can to constantly hone my skills and become a better marketer. Some days, I have so much fun doing what I’m doing that I feel I need to pinch myself (I know that can sound a bit hokey-pokey, but I’m serious).
And that right there, folks, is what it’s all about: I have a career I love, that intrigues and challenges me, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Marketing and writing are my jam and jelly.
